Big Science Sweden

We connect Swedish industry, universities, and research institutes with Big Science research organisations as Sweden’s Industrial Liaison Office (ILO). With a national responsibility, we facilitate collaborations and build networks with 13 international research facilities co-funded by Sweden.

We provide first-hand information to Swedish companies about business and collaboration opportunities while actively matching them with the research facilities’ needs and ongoing procurements.

Our mission

• Support Swedish industry, universities, and research institutes in contributing to excellent ground-based Big Science facilities.
• Focus on high-tech contributions that drive research, innovation, and international collaboration, and generate good business for Sweden.
• Generate value for Swedish industry and society by transferring new knowledge, technology, and competencies to other areas of application.

Partners

Our partners are Chalmers University of Technology, Lund University, Luleå University of Technology, Uppsala University, RISE, the Association of Swedish Engineering Industries, the industrial development centre IUC Syd, and Skåne Region.

Funding bodies

We are a public agency, and our main funding bodies are the Swedish Research Council and Vinnova (Sweden's innovation agency).
