The workshop aims to identify and characterise relevant technologies and to co-create a technology development roadmap for the application of artificial intelligence in fusion. This is also a great opportunity to connect with other experts, share knowledge, and explore potential collaborations.

Discussions will focus on AI applications in areas such as:

  • Design and simulation
  • Material development
  • Manufacturing and non-destructive testing (NDT)
  • Plasma science and control

The workshop will be held in two sessions

  • 8 April 2025 – Online kick-off meeting (full day)
  • 26–27 May 2025 – On site in Barcelona (afternoon on 26 May and full day on 27 May)

Who will be attending

Participants attending the in-person session in Barcelona are welcome to join an optional networking dinner on 26 May. The dinner will be reserved in advance, but participants are expected to cover their own expenses.
