We invite you to this online seminar where you can learn more about development of instrumentation for research facilities. The focus will be on the HiBEAM instrument and its business potential for Swedish suppliers.

Valentina Santoro, Technical Coordinator of the HiBEAM project at ESS, will give participants an introduction to the HiBEAM instrument and a review of the current status of the project. She will also be discussing future requirements, including shielding, magnetic equipment, detectors, and the infrastructure needed for the instrument's operation.

HiBEAM

HiBEAM is an instrument being developed by Lund University, Stockholm University, Uppsala University, and Chalmers University of Technology, and by an international collaboration that includes the US, Germany, Poland, Italy, and Japan. In terms of project leadership, the HIBEAM experiment is under Swedish coordination.

HiBEAM is an example of an instrument that could be built at ESS. If the proposal is accepted, and a decision made to build the instrument at ESS, there will be good potential for Swedish industry to be involved in production.
