Big Science Sweden submits bid to host BSBF 2026

Our bid is a collaboration between Big Science Sweden, Visit Skåne AB (part of Region Skåne), and the cities of Malmö and Lund.

BSBF 2024 in Trieste

This year, Italy will be hosting the Big Science Business Forum (BSBF). This popular event usually attracts delegates from around 30 countries, representing more than 500 business and research organisations.

Business-oriented congress

The aim is to consolidate the BSBF brand and build on the success of the previous events. The BSBF concept is an important opportunity for European companies and stakeholders to explore future investments and procurements of Big Science organisations.

Our ambition with BSBF Sweden 2026 is to take BSBF to a new level, building even more bridges between European companies and European Big Science organisations and generating more synergies and business opportunities.

Assessment of bids

The two bids will be assessed in the next few months by representatives from the ten BSOs (Big Science Organizations) promoting the BSBF. 

The outcome will be announced at the passing of the torch ceremony on 4 October, as a conclusion to BSBF 2024 (Trieste, 1-4 October 2024).
