BigScience@ Workshops

During 2021, we will be arranging Big Science@ workshops together with some of the leading universities and research institutes in Sweden. The first will be Big Science@LU on 15 April 2021, with Lund University.

More information and registration details will be available soon. Later in the spring and in the early autumn we will be hosting similar workshops with Chalmers University of Technology, Uppsala University, Luleå University of Technology, and RISE.

These workshops promise to be days filled with inspiration, networking, and ecosystem building for the research communities. The theme of the workshops will be Defining Areas of Strength in Big Science for the respective university/institute. We will also be involving representatives and technology experts from Big Science facilities such as ESS, MAXIV and CERN.

Why attend BigScience@ workshops?

Big Science facilities are not only important as major research tools for academia. The actual building and upgrading of these facilities drive the development of new, cutting-edge technologies and processes. This new technology not only boosts the Big Science community but can also often be used in totally unrelated research areas, and may have major impact on other societal challenges and innovation.
