Skills development is one of the biggest challenges facing Swedish industry and its workforce. That’s why Engineer 4.0 exists — a newly developed, web-based upskilling program created by Swedish universities and colleges specifically for Swedish industry.

About Engineer 4.0

Engineer 4.0 is an upskilling program tailored for professionals with an engineering background. It offers companies access to online learning modules led by expert instructors from Swedish universities, aimed at developing the knowledge and skills needed for smart manufacturing.

Upskilling that fits the workflow

All Engineer 4.0 modules are designed to integrate seamlessly into everyday work routines. The modules can be combined in various ways, allowing for a customized upskilling experience to meet the specific needs of both the company and individual participants. Each Engineer 4.0 module requires approximately 4 hours of study per week over a 5-week period.

Offer for companies

Through a collaboration with the IUC network (IUC Syd is one of Big Science Sweden’s partners), companies are now invited to participate.

This offer is intended for employees with an engineering background, such as experienced mechanics, operators, and production technicians with high school qualifications. The program is flexible and free of charge for small and medium-sized businesses.
