Glögg party for Swedes at CERN
Arriving guests were greeted by the familiar festive aroma of glögg (mulled wine), as well as pepparkakor (ginger biscuits), and lussebullar (saffron buns). This was the first time Big Science Sweden had arranged such an event, and Amelie Hallin, External Relations Manager at Big Science Sweden, was delighted with the response.
“Everyone seemed to appreciate the chance to meet, not just for the social aspect but also to share information and strengthen the Swedish network.”

Another reason for the trip to CERN was to make new contacts and thereby strengthen Big Science Sweden’s work in its Outreach initiative. The aim of the initiative is to generate interest among students, graduates, and professionals in applying for the opportunities CERN offers in terms of research and employment positions.
