At the start of February, a delegation from Big Science Sweden visited the FAIR research facility together with a group of Swedish high-tech suppliers. The participating companies were able to present their skills and expertise and make their own personal contacts.

FAIR (The Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research) is an impressive research facility currently under construction in Darmstadt, south of Frankfurt am Main. It is one of the research organisations that Big Science Sweden works closely with. Thirty people from different departments at FAIR took part in this event.

The companies learned more about procurement procedures and upcoming business opportunities, and took part in pre-arranged personal meetings. Representatives from FAIR commented that the companies visiting were highly skilled and relevant, and prospects for future business were good.
